Most of the non-vegetarians think that vegetarian dishes are not as good as non-vegetarian dishes. They believe that “paneer” is the best thing a vegetarian can eat. However, this is not true; vegetarians too have a lot of food choices. In fact, vegetarian items are really delightful. People who like the non-vegetarian dishes more than the vegetarian ones, than let me aware them that there are a lot of vegetarian dishes that taste almost similar to a non-veg dish. The key ingredients in the majority of these dishes are tofu and soya, as they are the only veg elements that taste same as meat. Here are the examples of such dishes:
Honey Lime Tofu Stir Fry
This dish is made with the perfect “tofu”. You have to stir-fry the tofu with honey and with the seasoning of lime juice. This dish not only tastes like a chicken but also looks like it, as the toppings give it meat like character.

This burger tastes like a hamburger. There is only one difference amongst both the burgers, that one contains meat while the other doesn’t. The black bean burger has an incredible patty with a meat-like texture. Other ingredients that are added in this burger are onions, bell pepper, and some flavourings. Portobello Mushroom Burger
Nowadays vegetarian burger’s variety is no longer limited to the aloo patty only; you can get a lot of variation now. This burger is stuffed with grilled portobello mushroom. Due to its smooth and chewy taste, you can’t even distinguish if you are eating a non-veg dish or a vegetarian one.
Tempeh Satay is originated from Indonesia. It is a street food snack. The tempeh is made up of soy and is grilled on bamboo skewers. Skewered meat dishes can easily get replaced with the tempeh satay. This dish is usually served with a tasty peanut sauce.
Jackfruit is another popular replacement for chicken. Though, jackfruit tacos are not so commonly served dishes. However, due to its chicken-like taste, it grasped a place on my list.

This is a veggie-stuffed sandwich but doesn’t taste like any vegetarian foods. It is highly riched with protein and gluten-free too. The other ingredients of this sandwich are black salt, pickles and the dill. All these ingredients altogether give this sandwich an egg-like flavour.
It is a healthy vegetarian breakfast and can be prepared within 15 minutes. Scrambled Tofu is a tasty yet a healthy dish. This easy and quick to cook dish looks and tastes exactly like the scrambled eggs.
Scallops are one of the most loved seafood. However, these scallops are made up of tofu. If no one tells you then, you cannot even figure out that this is a tofu dish and not a dish made with a seafood item. These scallops look divine and taste savoury.
